BIS (CRS Mark) for Compulsory Registration Scheme

BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) is a mandatory safety certification required for manufacturers of electronic and IT products before they can be launched in the Indian market. Unlike the traditional ISI mark, CRS is based on a self-declaration of conformity supported by rigorous laboratory testing.

Under the regulations of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), it is mandatory for manufacturers—both domestic and foreign—to register their products to ensure they meet Indian safety standards. Today, this scheme covers a vast range of products including laptops, mobile phones, LED TVs, power adapters, and solar equipment.

At Instacertify, we provide:

  • Product Testing Coordination with BIS-recognized laboratories.
  • Authorized Indian Representative (AIR) services for foreign manufacturers.
  • End-to-End Registration Support for obtaining and renewing your R-Number.
  • Technical Documentation to ensure full compliance with Indian Standards (IS).
